F. Greek Development is proud to announce that, Matt Schlindwein, FGD Vice President of Development, has received the 2015 Rising Star Award presented by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. The Rising Star honors developing leaders who have demonstrated strong leadership thru their skills in the development industry.
At Greek Development, Matt’s responsibilities include directing and overseeing the company’s development efforts, including site selection, due diligence, design, entitlement, and construction. Under his direction, the company has completed several build to suit developments for some of NJ’s leading companies. He currently oversees projects totaling over 3 million square feet of new development for various third party clients, as well as the company’s own portfolio. Matt is responsible for the company’s renewable energy program and has completed over 1.4 megawatts of solar systems in the portfolio.
As a member of NAIOP since 2010, Matt has made a tremendous impact. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees, Co-Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee, and a National Forum member. Previously, he co-chaired the Developing Leaders Committee, helping to develop exclusive DL events, and encouraging colleagues to get involved and volunteer for the Community Action Day at the Food Bank. Matt has made excellent contributions to the Annual Leadership Planning discussions and attended the Chapter Leadership & Legislative Retreat in Washington, DC. With his excellent attendance at NAIOP events and meetings, and his involvement in industry advocacy efforts, Matt sets an outstanding example of involvement for his peers.
